BARS & CLUBS usually open in the late afternoon on Christmas Day.
BIG BOX STORES are CLOSED on Christmas Day.
CONVENIENCE STORES are OPEN on Christmas Day.
GROCERY STORES are CLOSED on Christmas Day.
GOVERNMENT OFFICES are CLOSED on Christmas Day. Nearly all federal, state, county, and city agencies are closed on December 25.
LIQUOR STORES may be OPEN or CLOSED on Christmas Day. This depends on which state and/or city you are located in. Some areas allow alcoholic beverages to be sold on December 25th while others prohibit sales.
MOVIE THEATERS are OPEN on Christmas Day. Many theatres have additional holiday show times scheduled for December 25.
PHARMACIES & DRUG STORES are CLOSED on Christmas Day. Be sure to have your prescriptions filled before the holiday weekend!
POST OFFICE (USPS) is CLOSED on Christmas Day. There is no mail delivery on December 25.
RESTAURANTS may be OPEN or CLOSED on Christmas Day (see above.)
SCHOOLS are CLOSED on Christmas Day: grade schools, middle schools, high schools, colleges, universities, etc.
SHOPPING MALLS AND MALL ANCHOR STORES are CLOSED on Christmas Day.
