If a holiday falls on a Saturday, USPS will observe it on the preceding Friday. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, USPS will observe it on the following Monday. Most Post Offices are open on Saturday (except holidays), but with shortened hours and early closing time. Some are closed on Saturday. All Post Offices are closed on Sunday.

For 2025, Tax Day falls on Tuesday, April 15. Post Offices MAY be open late, but don’t count on it. Extended hours on Tax Day are much less prevalent now than in past years since most taxpayers e-File online. Be sure and get your taxes done before the April 15th due date!
